Hello everyone!
Here, you enter in a beautiful universe in which I’m evolving since more than 30 years. I’m looking forward to share with you incredible flying sensations, and to show you beautiful landscapes of “Jura”.
Flying isn’t only my job, it is and it will always be a real passion. So, let yourself be carried away, it’s time to you to forget yourself, breathe and dream.
The pilot
My name is Jean-François PUTOD. I’ve got 29 years of professional experience. In this day and age, more than 45000 passengers have flown by my side, and I’ve passed more than 14500 yours in the sky.
For the small history, at the end of the 90’, I was pilot (as a tug) for French free flights team, during two world championships. Before becoming professional, I practiced hang gliding and micro light as a leisure during 8 years.
Since 1986, I’m instructor and I give lessons of flying.
Informations
Open: April 1st to October 31st
In High season, booking is essential! It’s possible to book and have information directly at the airfield or by telephone.
During July and August, I’m flying with you all the week, whatever the day.
If I’m in the air, I can’t of course answer by telephone. Please, leave a message with your name and phone number. The reception is open between two flights but I try to make an answering service at 9pm.
During high season (18/07 until 25/08) my son manages reception each day of the week from 10am to 18pm.
He entirely remains at your disposal.
Finally, I have to tell you that I have only one micro light… for those who come in group, you’ll have to fly one after another.

First flight

Initiation Flight

Perfect for those who want to discover piloting sensations. If you want, you have the possibility to take the control of micro light from back side. Landing with engine off to feel the freedom of gliding.
Touristic trips

Discovery of the most beautiful sites of Jura
1. First option “The lakes”: Chalain, Chambly, Val, Ilay, Narlay, Small and Tall Maclu; Valley and waterfalls of “Herisson”.

I’m conscious that prices are substantial: flying is expensive. I change my equipment (helmet, wing, engine and so on…)
once a year to insure to my customers the best experience of their life.
Means of payment: We only accept cash. You will find a cash dispenser close to the airfield, in Doucier.
I prefer however to warn you about the conditions of a good flight. My activity depends on the weather. Sometimes, it can be really capricious. In this situation, I call you one hour before your appointment to put the meeting back and to fix another date with you.
Localization
« Base Alize ULM” is situated close to Doucier, and close to the lake of Chalain (less than one kilometer). Airfield is outside of Doucier so it doesn’t exist an official address.
At the beginning of Doucier, there is a road across from “supermarket Saint-Pascal” which leads to Lons-Le-Saunier. Airfield is on this road, after 800 meters. On your right, you will see the “base Alize ULM”: there is one chalet (the reception) and two buildings.
